I have just started backing up my movies and Xpress has been burning my DVD's at 2x even though they are 1x disc's. Most are working fine but the occasional one gets jumpy, particularly toward the end of the movie.

If I use Nero 5.5.10.42 to do a one to one copy burning at 1x, and providing the media is not defective, will it record the jumps frome the original backup?

DVD ROM's are a lot more forgiving than DVD standalones. play it in your DVD ROM and see if it jumps there. If it doesnt, then you may be ok!

Try using DVD Decrypter for the rip & select the option box 'ignore read errors' before rip/unencrypt...
