Hello there, I am a n00b when it comes to messing with my PS and its games, I just recently downgraded back to 1.5, and am new to using devhook 0.46, but am learning slowly. Next I want to learn to convert all my games to ISO's for back ups, and was wondering what's the best way (not to mention easiest) to do this. Ive read differing opinions on both UMD ripper 2.0 and fastloader 0.7. But have not read much helpful faqs on either. My questions are:

1. IS there a way to rip the UMD directly to your PC rather than your mem stick?

2. whats the difference between "ripping" and "dumping"?

3. what means when they say "Split the ISO"?

thanks for now, as im sure as i get deeper into this, ill have more!

I was recommended umddaxdumper not that long ago and that can transfer your UMD images through a usb connection to your computer. The difference between ripping and dumping, well ripping is when you modify a game files and dumping is used to make an image. The term split an iso, sometimes people don't have enough space on there memory stick so they split the image in pieces and transfer them to the computer then join them to make the full image.
