I'd suggest you to remove your current memory stick, take the battery off, and put it back on... But if you have written something bad to your flash, I'd say it's a no go.

Don't listen to that idiot lol...he deserves a permanent ban for even mentioning such a thing lol I went to 2.71 from 2.01 and used Dark_AleX's update flasher utility. Anywhere from 2.01 to 2.71 and the downgrader will work...it's up to you ;)

Well, the custom firmware 2.71 SE-C does have some benefits like recovery mode, which allows you to recover your PSP if it is semi-bricked. Also, you can remove the intro video (preventing UMD Autorun) and run custom modules (PRXs) from your memory stick (eg the MP3 module which allows you to listen to MP3s while in the XMB or playing a game).

But there are still some bugs (very minor) in 2.71 SE-C. Some homebrew doesn't work (like the automiatic DevHook firmware 3.01 installer I tried today). Also there are some problems with PRXs being reported as well.

It also doesn't downgrade the sfo in iso's, which means anything >2.8x needs devhook. Bit of a bitch since every time i wanna play tony hawk, i have to get into devhook :( instead of that easiness of just going to the game menu in the XMB

Well you could make DevHook launch on start up, and that might make it easier.

@enral - that sig image is 88kb, here's the allowed sizes (plus the non-AD link has to go, it can go in shoutbox profile but not on forums).
@Rhazel - yours needs shrinking also, or remove the text

Signatures

These rules exist to make viewing the forum as pleasant as possible to all users. Even though you might think signatures with large pictures look cool, some might find them extremely annoying.

1. Text-only signatures should have at most 5 lines of text.

2. An image-only signature should be less than 50kb in size, and be at most 500 pixels wide and 200 pixels tall.

3. If you use an animated picture in the signature, it should not be too distractive. Eg. blinking images or images with quick movement are not allowed.

4. If you want to use both text and image in your signature the image should not be more than 500 pixels wide and 100 pixels tall, and you can use up to three lines of text.
