watching ripped dvds (dvd files) with media center?

what do i need to do to watch a ripped dvd through media center - id like to do that so i can use the remote

ive been ripping my dvds into the video_ts format - do i just need to put these files in a certain place or should i rip the dvds differently or how do i configure media center

any help would be greatly appreciated!

You need a program like PowerDVD to do that. Don't think Media Centre does it...

just got a new dell 1501 with windows media center, and i put one o my dvd backup's in and the dvd played just fine, no need for power dvd or any other program just media center, it has the new true view screen and the picture is just great.
