Can any one advise please?
I have a Sony DVD+R writer DRU-120A. I carried out my first ever effort Thursday. It worked out OK but I was not to happy with sound it was weak and I had to turn the amp up. The picture was exceptionally good. I used the tutorial from DVD2DVD-R and the DVD-5 system. I knew that I would be short on space but it was my first effort and the frenzy had set it and I was using a DVD+RW disc. I was over the moon but my friend took the disc away and it worked OK in his PC but not in his Cyberhome.
Is it bcause I had used the Sony B's Clip pre-mastering software? My Nero appears not to know my writer at all probably because it is a "+" and not a "-".
The other pice of software which I think would help, if if it would run is their B's Recorder Gold it just crashes and I have Blue screens that state something about SCSI and date stamp
I have also ripped some DVD's of a larger capacity and done the stripping etc., and all has gone well and I have even seen the pictures through "SpruceUp" so I am happy there. But I want be able to burn safely. I will continuue to use DVD+RW's until I get more experience and it will not cost so much in wasted disc's.
Advice please.

I will give this a try today and let you know the outcome.
I must admit I have, through doing CD for music etc., that I quite like Nero because it was an item you could go away and leave.
Made up file and posted same. Checked out the registry and found it there OK.
However, going to Nero I find that it opens up to New Compilation. Then if I go to New I then check Recorder it comes up with the Choose a recorder it only shows the Image Recorder available.
This was not expexted.
I did however manage to get Sony's B's Recorder Gold running. It was on another drive that I was using until I got this 120GB (NTFS) so I thought (last ditch) give it a try and it worked
no problem at all. I made the old 80Gb the no 1 drive went in again and it was still OK. I even erased the B's Clip formatted file and burnt "The Game" onto it pictures OK but there is no sound. I did it after ripping and using ReMpeg2 some time ago.
This eventually ends up with smaller files and one for .m2v and the other the .ac3. Do they have to be merged in some way or other as the video runs ok and the sound runs ok though seperately.
So in the next couple of days I am going to be busy going back to the old drive for the day to day and use the big un for storage.
Any advise would be appreciated.

This morning I reveived from Nero a file/patch for my type of writer. It was in fact identical to yours but for one slight difference that was the space on their email between two words looked slightly larger larger. However, it worked OK and has or appesrs to have supercede yours and Nero now gives me the optione between an Image and my writer which it has identified.
Many thanks for your assistance.
