Nero 7 Ultra won't burn data dvd? Help plz

Well I been trying o burn my mp4 video movies on to a data dvd so I can watch them on my dvd player, and it gives me a error saying "Could not perform start of Disc-at-once" and "Burn process failed at 2.4x (3,324 KB/s)" so can someone please help me, I can't even burn DivX videos with the DivX program where you drag video to burn, its been giving me all these problems:( I just want to burn these videos to watch them on my dvd player, I hate having to convert videos to dvd mode thing with VOB.

I have a Dell dimension 5100, I heard people with dells where having trouble updateing there firmware for there dvd burners
