it needs to be upgraded to 2.5 or 2.71, with 2.71 you dont need the grand theft auto game to downgrade. but first check the below image to se if it can be downgraded



once you know it can be downgraded or not, get back to the thread nd well help you on your way

right. sorry about the delay :S
here is the 2.71 upgrade
make a folder in PSP/GAME called UPDATE (must be in caps) and put this eboot in there.
you will then need this
connect your psp via usb, and follow the instructions on screen and hopefully youll have a 1.5

when i go to game it says
game sharing this says connection error not got the wire less connection hooked up
saved data this says there is no data
memory stick this says there are no games
what do i need to be in in the settings section
a lot to these little things

@hodgins there is no need to upgrade to 2.71!! 2.01 can be downgraded aswell and it is safer than the 2.71!

right if u want to upgrade be my guest...this is how... connect PSP to PC and then go to PSP>GAME and make a fodler called UPDATE (make sure its capitals!) put the 2.71 eboot in there. on the PSP go to the GAME menue and u will see your upgrade. connect to AC and upgrade away.

the 2.01 downgrader is much more complex man its not for some one who's never doen thi sbefore so 2.71 is cool lol!!!!
