Hi

I have downgraded to 1.50 but on reboot it always states "To start, you must update the system software"

How do I switch this off, as even with fastloader 0.7 installed it doesn;t seem to work, the demo works, but any iso does not. I have tried Dragonball Shin Bodukai, and need for speed carbon.

am I being dumb?

fast loader is not really used anymore unless its for ripping games. to load games ur best bet is devhook. it emulates higher firmwares (wont have the update system software message anymore) and loads games. go to psp-hacks.com - downloads - firmware - firmware emulators. i would start out with .46 to get use to it then go to something higher if u need it. if u download the ultimate installer it installs all the files to the psp for you and all you have to do is select what iso u wanna play.

you are starting the psp with a umd inserted that requires a higher firmware to run that is why the message shows up, ignore it

Hex :) i am not doubting your knowlage of the psp but my psp is 1.5 and only runs devhook but i still get the "update software" error everytime i load my psp.
I read somewhere that you can turn on the parent lock so it will not show up. But come on is it really that bad its just a push of a single button you could always update to 3.02 loose all homebrew and run backups ISO's .... guess the button press is not the bad option

when u do a hard reboot and it says "need to updat system software..." to get rid of this on 1.5 (freshly booted) u need C/FW which u can then use modules to swich this is off!
