Hi to all,

HELP??

I'm unsble to copy or backup a DVD movie, "CLICK".
I use DVD Decrypter version 3.5.4.0
Boy that SONY & COLUMBIA PICTURES sure do know how
to make it harder to copy by it's "structor proections"
and dummy sectors.
I even try using PCG Edit which includes PSL, Protected
Sectors List.

Well those didn't help either. Must be that SONY & COLUMBIA
knows which DVD software we use.

However, I'm able to back up MOST of the DVD files,
accept the ones that won't let me to back up, are the followings.

VTS_01_1.VOB
VTS_01_5.VOB
VTS_34_1.VOB

These'are the files that I cannot backup.

Do any of you know which is the best DVD ripping software
that would TALORATE SONY & COLUMBIA PCITURES' structor protections
and dummy sectors??

You can e-mail me directly at: [removed]

Please help, ASAP!!

Thank you.
Regards,
Eugene

Hi ECruz'N
1st thing edit your email addy out of your post - who needs more spam (+ against forum rules).

Use RipIt4Me.
Uses Decrypter (does the psl files), Shrink and FixVTS.
Handles of the newer movies and all free.

Hi,
First, thanks for your response.
I'm not aware of the causes of spam.
Maybe I'm on AOL that caused all that.
I have try using DVD Shrink, it wouuldn't load
the CLICK movie. And I try using DVD Shrink VTS Fix,
that wouldn't do it from the CLICK DVD either.
I'll try what you advised me.
Any suggestions that you might have from here, please
let me know.
Thanks,
Eugene

Oh you just need to edit your email address out of your post.

Other programs that will handle this one and the newer ones are:
DVDFab Decrypter. Rip to your hard drive with that then open those files in something like Shrink to compress & fit on a single layer dvd.

Not free but has a 21 day free trial is AnyDVD and CloneDVD. AnyDVD just runs in the background removing the copy protection - you can use it w/ programs like Shrink and Nero's Recode. Best used w/ CloneDVD - which compress and burns to a single layer disc.

HELP??
That Rip4ME sure do waste a lot of my time.
Once I loaded the Rip4ME programer, I selected
the path of DVD Decrypter 3.5.4.0 that I've already
installed. Once I selected DVD Decrypter for Rip4ME,
it says "Warnning, the application that you chose does
not seem to be DVD Decrypter."
And when I do load Rip4ME, it brings up that I'm using
the old VTS FIX v 1.0 which I've already had download
the latest version of VTS Fix v1.6.0.
It doesn't seem to recognize the latest vts fix version.
It kept saying what I downloaded is the old one.
And then when I proceed using the Rip4ME, it kept loading
DVD Decrypter to install 3 times, again I've already installed
before.
So, I think I need help on whether is there any better software
that you can find that wouldn't do bunch of launges like it
Rip4ME did on DVD Decrypter 3.5.4.0.
Beside, my OS is Win98SE.
Help??
Eugene

Might be the os you are running - I'm not sure on all the os's it supports.

See my post above for other links - DVDFab or AnyDVD w/ CloneDVD. AnyDVD/Clone says it supports 98SE and DVDFab just lists 98.

Give AnyDVD and CloneDVD a go. You can download the trial's from here:
http://www.slysoft.com/en/

By default when you install AnyDVD it will be set to autostart. It just runs in the background. You'll see a redfox in the system tray. This means it's on.
Pop the disc in the drive and then open CloneDVD. Clone will compress and burn to fit on a single layer dvd.
