i have two burning drives burning with Nero burning ROM it says they burning at 2x is that right or should it burn at maximum burning 2 moves at same time

I dont recommend burning any faster than 4X, so I would says things are pretty much normal.

I'll differ a little from Gwen's advice - depends on your burners and media you are using.

For good newer 16x burner's w/ good media 2x is a bit too slow and may cause problems also. Older drives 2x may be fine.
If you burn speeds are limited in Nero (depending on what your drives support) you may need a firmware update if there is one for the drive(s).

What's the make and model of the burners? How about the media you are using?

I burn 2 at once at 8x using Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden on 16x burners.

Nero 6601 and nec DVD rw nd 3550a and opliarc dvd rw ad 717oa and the media is ritek DVD-R 8x. iv just burn two moves at same time at 8x seems ok

The only thing I found on the 2nd drive was also an NEC - NEC AD 7170A - if they're the same you should be good burning at 8x. NEC is a good drive.
Ritek media is usually pretty decent too.
