hi i just got a PS3 Yesterday at San Francisco(Metreon)and i came home and did the software update then i wanted to download the motorstorm demo but it is taking soooooo looong i had it on since 7:30 Pm and it was only at 71 Percent at 10:00 any thing will help

This is probably a stupid question but are you on dial up? If so then that your problem, if not then it shouldn't take that long. At the most 20 min.

Yeah I do have a ps3, another thing you might want to check you connection because it shouldn't take that long.

you can also pause it pause all connections and run a dsl scan test http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/ it doesnt ask to install anything and since you live in sf just hit sf and let us know on your speed

i just did the speed test and from my computer it was
download speed:6568kb/s upload speed:141kb/s
from my ps3
download speed:6057kb/s upload speed:142kb/s

I reason he asked if you own a PS3 is because the hard line is broadband only =), if you want to download something don't use Wi-Fi it will always be alot slower. Remember it also depends on what time you are trying to download it and how many other people are trying to access that server at the same time. I have a japanese console and the first time I downloaded motorstorm it took like 2 1/2 - 3 hours because it was a Sat. night at 6:00pm. The second time(I had to format for YDL v5.0) it downloaded in like 15-20 minutes at 2:00 Sun. I think it's mostly the servers cause I tried downloading f1 and it was going so slow(like 2-3 minutes for 1%) so I stopped it and restarted it and it took 30 minutes. I hope this helps and I'm not just rambling on.
