TMPGEnc Keeps Crashing!!!

I am having problems with TMPGEnc. It keeps crashing on certain frames on about 3/4 of the avi's i try. Windows XP just says the program is not responding. i have tried to repair the files with an avi fixer but it didn't help. i have tried increasing the Directshow Multimedia File Reader but no improvement. It keeps happening on exactly the same frame on the avi's that are not working. Does anyone have any ideas at all??? Thanks

1. The movie you are encoding, are there corrupt frames (after you fix them).. some errors you need to clip out (they cant be fixed... one such example is "Divide by zero")
2. Can your computer handle the encoding?

Well, i m not sure about if there are any bad frames after. Im not sure. How can you remove bad frames and how do you know if they are bad? My computer is a Athlon XP 2600+ with 512DDR RAM and it handles encoding fine. This problem just seems to be happening to some files!?!?! Any more ideas?
( ihave also got another error message for another file: illegal floating decimal point calculation order. Any ideas what this means?)

avi fixer?? do u mean AVI fixed??
also did u try divfix?? that might actually find it or have you tried to remove that certain are with VirtualDub??

It was a program called ASF-AVI-RM-WMV Repair. Do you have any more ideas how to fix this praetor or Dela? I could do with any suggestions!?!?! Thanks

Also, i don't know if it makes much difference, but it always seems to happen to the second part of the AVI after i have encoded the first half. Does this help?

Make sure you make backups before you pass the movies through avifixed/divfix!

I didnt no DivFix can cut out frames. All i can seem to do is scan for bad frames, strip and rebuild the index? What do i do?

I just use it to find the frames, remove with VDUB then :-)

The last 2 buttons look something like { and }, basically select the bad frames with them and click edit - delete selection! When you are done, test if its in sync.
Dont forget to click video - direct stream copy and audio - direct stream copy!

if not, what exactly do i do after removing the bad frames. Go to "save as .AVI" i guess?

ok then, so
1) Used DivFix to find out the bad frames
2) Used VDUB to remove the bad frames, with audio and video on Direct Stream Copy
3) Enocde the AVI wit TMPGEnc as normal

ok. i wanna delete the bad frames with Virtual Dub. I go to the bad frame and then press delete, but it just says "error decompressing video frame ..." at the bottom of the frame? What do i do?
