Does anyone know where Azureus gets the list of torrents you have open at the moment? for instance, im well aware of where it stores files etc, what i want to know is, when i open Azureus where is it loading the list of torrents that are open? its not in the registry i checked

Is it possible Azureus is storing the list inside its own .jar program file?

the reason i ask is, i am planning on reinstalling windows on this laptop and i have a long long list of torrents open and seeding that i dont want to have to find each torrent and re-add it to Azureus (which also loses the ratio i have seeded each torrent to).

So does anyone know where Azureus keeps the list of active torrents etc?

i found a lot of the relevant things in c:\documents and settings\%user%\application data\azureus

i hope this is everything, it seems it has the current list but i dont know about the relevant ratios for each torrent and the total.

Lots of things to comment on in this thread:

1. The ratio shown to you by ANY client application is NOT and SHOULD NOT be considered your TRUE ratio @ the tracker. It's merely a function that keeps track of what you've uploaded/downloaded since the last time you stopped and started the torrent.

2. You won't have the files on the new installation, and as such you *can't* seed them anymore.

3. As for the "list" of torrents open, it's merely what you're telling it to keep open. Your personal folder for storing .torrents is identified in the settings. It can see them all, but it only shows the ones that you haven't deleted from the active queue.

4. All you ever have to do to start something re-seeding is reopen the .torrent (assuming the actual file is wherever you left it, not the .torrent, the actual download). You can batch open by choosing file/open and selecting all the files you want to open.

5. You're way to concerned w/ ratio's. If it's an active torrent, you can drop off if the seed/leech ratio is more than 2-3x. If it's not, seed until there are only a couple leechers left. All this is assuming you're on a public tracker. If you're on a private tracker, it will tell you what your overall ratio is, which is what you need to be concerned with.
