I had no problems with my CC on Divineo.com they even showed the Simply in stock. Within few hours I had a tracking # and mine is showing its already on its way. I will post updates as they come regarding shipment.

I live in Melbourne by the way[/quote]I think you will find that although they say they are australia, they actually deliver from China (some of the companies). Delivery is still via EMS (China).
I am also in Melbourne, but cant recall shipping costs. I think one of the sites has shipping included. Do what i do, purchase the item, and go to checkout, this way it shows you full price, but dont actually purchase.
In the next few week i will be looking into it more and making a purchase.

My friend has just spotted the M3 Simply in Hong Kong. Unfortunately it is in Chinese. It is not about the unreadable menu that I am worried about (I can read a bit chinese), its just whether this 'Chinese M3 Simply' functions EXACTLY the same as the english ones. I mean, does the Chinese M3 have the same compatibility of games as the M3 Simple English?
Also, do you think that the M3 Chinese Simply will be able to update with the english firmwares?
All I am hoping is that the CHinese M3 Simply is EXACTLY the same as if I ordered it from Divineo, with the exception of the language.
Does anyone have a chinese version of this?
Thanks ^^

The board is exactly the same for Chinese/English, it's just a couple of pins on the back of the board that decide on the language. So if you buy the Chinese one, (and you know about soldering) you can change it to english quite easily. There is a post about it somewhere with pictures, have a search for it.

I know. I dont mind chinese though. All I want to know is this:
I checked out the download section on M3 Adapter's official site:
System v1.01 - (Console software- English version update)
System v1.01 - (Console software- Chinese BIG5 version update)
System v1.01 - (Console software- Chinese GB version update)
Will I be able to use the English Version Update on my Chinese Simply? If not, which Chinese Update do I pick? And do they all do the same thing?
Also, I believe that there is an intergrated Moonshell with the M3 Simply, I assume that the moonshell will also be in Chinese. I dont know anything about Moonshell,so can someone please tell me is there is much writing within Moonshell, because if there is, it will be a bit troublesome for me to read all that chinese.
Thanks ^^

every question about chinese/english can be answered with this:
english.
the simply was made in china and produced there, but marketed towards other countries, much like many, many, many, other products[98.9% of what wal-mart sells for example].
if you find your simply is in chinese, update it with english firmware.
btw, all the m3's come from china...

No passkey required with the M3 Perfect? Why can't I use the M3 Pro Mini with my GBA?

So, you are saying that I am able to update my Chinese Simply with English Firmware. Would it then become english? If so, why do people have to go through all that soldering and stuff? You can just update to the firmware you want.
Thanks

i spose you could argue that firmware takes up unneccesary space on your memory card.

Can I copy my game files on the passkey so I don't have to swap it out and use the passkey as a memory card?

you seemed to be confused -
if you get the simply there is no passcard required as it is built in.
if you get the m3 perfect lite, then it goes into slot 2 and the passcard goes into slot 1.
that way you should not have to switch passcard and memory ever.

the firmware goes in a special cache on the ds lite, not the memory card [sd/cf u mean right?]. that is why bricking ur ds is possible. kinda like erasing ur computer BIOS. i just bricked my ds lite to see what happens with the simply/m3 lite combo. it bricks nicely. you have to have no sd inserted and switch on/off quickly though. no contct pressing or anything. also unrecoverable it seems. DONT TRY THIS AT HOME, UNLESS YOUR REALLY BORED. it looks like a very complete brick procedure. time to exchange the ol ds lite now. why'd i do it? boredom and i have time for this stuff.
if your really worried about the chinese/english thing, open up the simply ~carefully~ taking the screw out while putting ur thumb over the contacts so as not to accidentally scratch em. then slip a finger nail under some of the shell. slide it around the casing until u get it open. on the back of circuit board you should see a silver dot sticker it says "simply" underneath, it should say "english". if not then someting else. chinese perhaps...

Hey got my simple yesterday, up and running in 5 mins, loaded 11 roms all working fine, what an excellent product will be ordering another for my other daughter today. Had some problems with moonshell though, when you have run moonshell from your computer what then happens and what files should be on your sd.

So, XbusterZ , dont worry about the CHinese version of Simply. I managaed to get a hold of the English one. So when you're updating the English firmware for your Simply, it actually goes into your DS Lite? And do you have to race against time to do it?:
'...and switch on/off quickly though..'
I thought the firmware goes into the SImply when you update. I dont want to damage my Ds Lite :P

Please DON'T buy from PDAPuffin, they are always spamming these forums with their stupid adverts, plus their prices arn't that great either.

I bought mine from here and it was English (though i was expecting Chinese)

Yes, but you need to bridge two contacts on the board with a single drop of solder (even a seven year old can do it)
Quote: Also, I believe that there is an intergrated Moonshell with the M3 Simply
Sorta, the files are kept on he memory stick, bt you can load them on the M3 using a built in button, thus given the impression it's intergrated, this does not have language detection so should you get a Chinese version you can just swap the files with English versions.
@XbusterZ
um? What? Explain what happened and how :S
The M3 firmwares don't touch the DS Lite firmware in that way at all :S

What is all this talk about solder on the DS Lite? Is it that the DS lite will not allow the M3 simply to play? This is the first time I am reading concern on using the M3 Simply with the DS Lite.

Simple answer: ignore anything to do with solder.
Long answer: the M3 team try to prevent you from buying a M3 meant for one language and installing the firmware for another (e.g. installing English on a chinese M3) however by bridging two contacts wit a drop of solder you can transform a Chinese M3 to an English M3.
This method can also be done to transform an R4 flashcard to the M3.
The method can also be reversed (remove solder) to make an M3 the R4 or make an English chinese.
