6 motion chapter thumbnails over motion menu - how?

Hi all
I want to have a motion menu with 6 chapter thumbnails - but each thumbnail having a section of the relevant chapter movie playing within it.
First, I am not ripping commercial DVD's but trying to author my own fancy DVD's from my own video - hence nothing to rip and copy is available for me.
Looking through the DVDMaestro help, seems like this has to be done in a video editing program. I use Premier and can get picture showing through picture (using a matte) - but that is just a full screen video underneath another full screen video - no use for 6 motion thumbnails (in a nice rectangle formation) over the top of a motion background.
Is it possible in Premier (or DVDmaestro or another program) to reduce the size of, and place individual movies all laid out next to each other over another fullscreen movie and put a nice border around each chapter motion thumbnail (like on some commercial DVD's)?
Hope someone can help me (and a lot of others who'll read it).

three words for you -
Ulead DVD Workshop
it's menu making feature is awsome, you can do anything you like, i've been playing around with it over the last few days because i've got lots of footage of a bands tv appearances and live performances over the last 10 years and i'm trying to make a compilation DVD.
it's very good at motion menu, you should be able to get the results you want from it.

Technically thats two words and an acronym, not three words. DVD isnt a word. If you were to use its full title, Digital Versitile Disc, then it would be 5 words. lol ;-)
Also, did any of you know that Adobe the company, its name means 'sun-dried bricks used for building'. Jesus, i am a complete fountain of knowledge. I impress myself sometimes as well you know. lol Im just kidding ;-)

if you want to split hairs its technically one company, an acronym, a verb and a noun.
any meaningful element of speech is a word, therefore an acronym is a form of word, therefore three words.

Actually, meaningful elements of speach are not always words as such. A word, otherwise broken down into a morphene (A speech element having a gramatical function that cannot be sub-divided into further such elements), has to be in a dictionary. In the UK, slang are not considered words, yet they are meaningful to those who use them. Acronyms are not technically words, but are viewed by as such.
Actual if we really want to split hairs, its technically 1 company, 1 product made up of an acronym and two words. lol ;-)

no a word doesn't have to be in the dictionary to be a word, because the dictionary definition of a word is 'a meaningful element of speech'
therefore DVD is a word, because it is a meaningful element of speech.
(and its in my dictionary, as is a lot of slang, although i suppose that will vary on the dictionary, and colloquial speech is probably omitted.)
so it may be an acronym, but it is still one word.
and Ulead may be a company, but we do use words to name companies.
and workshop may be made of two words, but in the case of the software its written as one.
hence, three words

Um...you will not find common slang in a dictionary. Slang are words made up by regional elements allowing for an application or intention of a previous word to be interpreted by the regional elements that came up with it. Being a pragmatist doesnt mean that slang is an actual word, irrelevant how many people use it.
lol - these sort of arguments are cool, but a mod will give us grief about going off topic.

i didnt realise this was an argument, but ok, this is my last post on the subject.
as i said, it varies on the dictionary, but a lot of them contain a certain number of slang words.
slang is not necessarily words made up by regional elements. take the word coke for example. its slang for cocaine around the world, no specific region is associated with that word. i guess its so obvious that coke is short for cocaine that it's just a natural lazy way of saying it.
once slang is common enough, it may get into the dictionary. it may start regionally, as its often class or culture specific, but once its universally accepted it may get added to the dictionary.
but like i said, colloquial speech is mostly omitted, ie. slang that is unique to a certain area, because obviously filling a dictionary with that would take forever.
just a few examples though -
hot-wire is in my oxford dictionary, its defined as 'US slang - starting an engine (of a car etc) by bypassing the iginition switch)
even though hot-wire is native to the US, its in common use around the world, everyone knows what it means, so in time it gets added to the dictionary. its so commonly known that its not treated as slang anymore, yet it still is.
and interestingly, 'yuppy' is in this dictionary too, even though many people over here don't know what it means. its defined as colloquial speech, so i guess some of that does make it in.
there are many more but im fed up now, back to DVD authoring.
if we were arguing then this was a bad topic to argue about - im an english student and we covered the topic of slang this year. i have a couple of textbooks to back me up. go look up some slang words in the dictionary

lol - Man i was just having a bit of fun. I've sort of got bored now though, so we'll think of something else to argue about next time ;-).
