I have RecordNow, and whenever I backup a dvd, a burn a test onto a DVD+RW. after i'm certain that it's fine, i burn it onto a DVD+R. instead of burning a test DVD+RW, i decided to just try burning my movie on a DVD+R. it got an error message. i tried it again and another error message. does anyone know what's going on?
the error message says
"try using another brand of disks"or "try cleaning the disk". my disk isn't dirty though.
By the way, i dont have RecordNow Max, just regular RecordNow (came with the dvd writer)
thanks for your help
What are the discs you are trying. Also, are you trying to burn more than the discs capacity, remembering that a 4.7GB disc holds 4.4GB of data? What dirve is it you are using and are you sure you have the right format of media? Sorry if these are very basic questions and insult you :-)
i use Fujifilm DVD+R disks (have had no problems), and i have an HP external dvd+rw drive. The total size is 2 gigs. it burns fine in Nero, but unfortunately, my dvd players dont play disks burned in Nero. i think ill just buy RecordNow Max and reformat my computer. thanks for your help
You can no longer get record now max. You can get the newer record now deluxe though from the link below, use the user guide to make sure you create a DVD compliant disc:
and get the file. Install it and it'll ask to restart.
I made just one test yesterday night, it went succesfully, but it was after midnight and I had to go to bed, didn't have time to try an actual burning or make more tests. I'll continue tonight, anyway, as I had a succesful test, I think it works !!
