Hi,
I downloaded AnyDVD and CloneDVD which they're a trial
version. AnyDVD trial version last for 21 days.
When I open AnyDVD, it shows list of options, but it doesn't
have the option that allows you to start backup DVD movie.
What and how can I use AnyDVD? Have I miss understood on
whether AnyDVD can do the backup DVD??
Maybe it doesn't on a trial version??
I haven't try CloneDVD, but somehow I understood is to use
both AnyDVD and CloneDVD.
Would someone please help me which trial version that would
allow me to backup DVD movie with answers clearly??
Thank you.
Regards,
Eugene

Ok man your on the right track your just mixing up a few things AnyDVD does not copy and shrink the dvd clone dvd does AnyDVD just breaks the protection layer of the dvd and clone dvd is the one that burns it.

So put in the dvd you want to back up in to the dvd drive open AnyDVD wait for a sec until it breaks the protection layer and then open clone dvd 2 and click clone dvd and there you go

You dont have to purchase clone dvd 2 DVD Shrink does the exact same job but I would purchase AnyDVD though as nothing beats it imo

Hi,
Thanks for your message response.
Well, okay, when I open AnyDVD, it first shows the
list of options, like it first shows "Status".
Then am I suppose to click the other list below that??
Then what should I do?? Whatever I click on, would I
Click on defult?? Then open CloneDVD 2 while AnyDVD is open??
Can you give me an example of what you would do, clearly??
Would I have to keep AnyDVD open when I use CloneDVD 2??
I just downloaded CloneDVD, not CloneDVD 2, until you mentioned it.
Is there CloneDVD 2 to download??
Hope you can help and know where I'm at.
I'm at "Confusing" when it comes to open AnyDVD, what to chose
from and what's next before using CloneDVD??
Help??
Thanks,
Eugene

You don't do anything with AnyDVD. If there is a red fox head icon, in the system tray, in lower right corner of screen, then it is working. You don't need to open it at all, if using CloneDVD. It starts working automatically, when you put the original dvd in, and close the drawer.

If the fox head icon, in the system tray, is grey, right click on it, and then click on "Enable AnyDVD". Then the icon should turn to red.

Sometimes, you may want to rip the dvd to the hard drive, with AnyDVD. Right click on the fox head icon, and click on "Rip Video-DVD to hard disk".

You're just a little confused on AnyDVD's way of working. It does it's main job (bypassing the copy protection), automatically.
Good luck!

Hi again,
Thanks for your response.
Hey, I finaly able to know how to use AnyDVD and CloneDVD2.
Now I do have a couple of questions.

#1. How can I be sure that AnyDVD has already removed the
FBI Warning message from a DVD movie??

#2. An order for me to buy both AnyDVD and CloneDVD2,
do they accept money order? I don't use credit card, but
I always pays by money order by mail.

Hope you you can help with answers clearly and understand.
Thanks,
Eugene

1.) if you haven't messed with any of AnyDVD's settings, it will do it automatically.

2.)credit or debit card...those are your only options.

on a more personal note, i agree with you about credit cards. i only keep *one* for emergencies. i normally pay for everything in cash (keeps the records down) and pay online with a debit card. if you don't have one, it's definitely worth it. all the security of a money order, but none of the hassle of a credit card.

Hey,
I discovered another problem with AnyDVD.
It's suppose to automaticly remove the FBI warning message
from the video DVD that we sees. I didn't remove it.

I checked all the settings that I haven't change.
What's wrong here??

First I right click on the RED Fox on the lower right hand
cornner of the tool bar, and click "Rip video DVD to hard disk",
I clicked on it and as it copy the DVD movie into my hard disk successfuly.
Then I use CloneDVD2 to burn it onto a blank DVD.
Once that's done, I played the copied DVD and I knew
where the FBI Warning is located, which is after the credit,
the end of the movie. So, when I go to the end to see whether
is the FBI warning has removed. It's still THERE!!!!

So, what did I do wrong??
Hope you can help with answers clearly.
Thanks,
Eugene

i'm not sure it removes the *actual* FBI warning, but it *does* make it skippable.

Hi again,
I just working on ConeDVD2, and it won't allow me to backup all of
the "CLICK" menu and extras. It only can backup JUST the movie
itself. When I try to backup the WHOLE file, by clicking on
"Clone a DVD movie and all files and menu" Got it??
I loaded the DVD movie.
Then it shows all the files with check marks in boxes.
Then I clicked "NEXT", then I set the directory where I would
want the file to go to as a "DVD file". It shows the list of files
that would be copy.
Then I click "GO", then next I get this error message, as you
would hear "Oh No!".
It said
"Creation of a DVD file was not successfuly"
It said
"Please be sure that all input files are available and that
they represent a properly mastered DVD."

I said "What?"

Then I decided to do another try, is to start all over by
clicking on "Copy DVD title".
Then it shows JUST a movie title with a check marked in a box,
and the rest are unchecked.
That works without title menu and extras. But I don't get it.
I checked all boxes to have the rest to be included, and
try that, and once again, it failed with the same above message.

It work only JUST the movie itself.

What do you think?? "CLICK", made by SONY & CLUMBIA Pictures
with Structure protection and dummy sectors.

Hope I explain the above clearly, I did my best explaining the
problem, without showing you by photos : - ((

Hope you can help with answers clearly.
Thanks,
Eugene

i haven't played with CloneDVD or Click, but i'm fairly sure that you won't have a problem with the latest AnyDVD, DVD Shrink, and either Nero or DVD Decrypter all working together...that's what i do, and no real problems have so far arisen.

ECruz'N,

Most of the newer movies are so large, I usually do "movie only" without menus, special features. You won't get the FBI warning. On many dvds, you can preview the titlesets of unwanted material and untick it.

Re: payment.....Apparently Slysoft will be accepting wire transfers and Paypal in the new year. You can also look into a preloaded credit card. Never used one myself, but I suppose they would be similar to a store gift card.

Hi,
Well, I was able to backup allo of :FLIGHTPLAN" DVD movie,
the movie and menu and exttas by using CloneDVD2, but it
wouldn't on "CLICK", because SONY & CLUMBIA Pictures are
using their new encryption.
I gues I'm looking for if any DVD sogtware that can remove
NEWER DVD encryption? Would DVDFab do it??
I gues that there aren't any latest sogtware version for
prepare for the NEWER encryption.
So, trying out with both AnyDVD2, CloneDVD, DVD Decrypter,
DVD Shrink, and using PGCEdit with PSL, is no surprise,
the sresults on attempting to backup "CLICK" DVD movie
with menu and extras, doesn't work with the above software.
That shows me there's nothing new yet on DVD sogtware,
compared to the OLD DVD movies that worked with the above
software.
So realy, AnyDVD and CloneDVD2 haven't prepared for
NEWER encryption to fight off.
So, that's my diagnosis, or results of my research.
Any suggesions that you might know any DVD software
that does backup NEWER DVD movies with NEWER encryption???
Thanks,
Eugene

I used DVD Shrink w/Nero, and AnyDVD running in the background, to do Click. No problems at all. And this is several versions back, on AnyDVD, so the new version shouldn't have a problem with it.

Hi,
How did you do the "running background".
What I mostly do is "Load" disc to display on DVD Shrnk,
and it brings up the encounter error that says

"DVD Shring encountered an error and cannot continue.
Invalid DVD navigation struture."

That's "CLICK" DVD movie. So, Shrink won't let me
backup "CLICK" either.

Have you experience with this one?
Thanks,
Eugene

Running in the background just means that AnyDVD was automatically doing it's thing (bypassing copy protection).

Have you tried cleaning the original disc real good? Have you cleaned the lens on your read drive? Did you say earlier that you had checked for a firmware update? Can you exchange Click, for another one, and try that one? Maybe your drive is having hardware problems?

It sorta sounds like AnyDVD isn't working. Is the fox head icon, in your system tray, red or gray? I'm running out of suggestions.

Hi,
To answer your questions.

#1. The Pioneer DVD burnner drives are fine with it's firmware,
worked with MOST DVD movies, accept that "CLICK" movie.

#2. I've clean "CLICK" DVD disc several times, and once I
sees it under a light, it shows scratches that I've made from
cleaning with necktin.

#3. YES, the RED FOX is on the try and it's shortcuts on the desktop.
Using a laptop with WinXP Professinal.
Hope my answers helps for you to determan on my problem with
"CLICK" DVD movie.
Thanks,
Eugene

There were some other threads about Click, awhile back. Do a search for Click, and see what some others suggested.
Good luck!

I think you have a bad original. If all the other's work, and Click don't, It sounds like your disc to me. As I said....... I had no problem with Click. But others did. Try the search.
