Burning Problems with Nero

I have used Nero for over a year now and had no problems until a couple of days ago. I tried to burn a disc and it failed. I thought it was maybe just one time, and now I've wasted 15 discs. I tried to uninstall and reinstall Nero and nothing works. Here is the log of the last time I tried. PLEASE HELP!!!

Here's a few suggestions:
1st let's edit out the serial # - begins w/ 1C at the top of the log.
Nero Version: 7.0.0.0
Nero can use an update - update to the latest 7.5.0.9a.
Recorder: <SONY DVD RW DW-U12A> Version: 2.0b
Older drive and it's recognizing the discs you are using but there is a firmware update - 2.0e from 2004. Update to that one.
File 'Drivers\CDRALW2K.SYS':
Nero and Roxio don't always play well together so you can uninstall Roxio and run the zap tool.
Give that a go and let us know.

Hi Binkie 7,
I did what you said. I updated Nero to 7.5.0.9, I updated my driver for my DVD drive and I used the zap tool, but I still get the DVD burned failed message. Here is the log from the last burn after I changed everything. Thanks

Since your problem just started, and you did the things binkie7 suggested, maybe you could try a different media. If I am looking at it correctly, and sometimes I don't, your media is showing as a 4th class version.

I see you've changed discs since your first post, as mentioned these are horrible discs, stick with Verbatim or Sony (made in japan).

I dont think the problem is the discs cause I've tried about 3-5 Verbatim dvds and they dont work either. I would like to know if anyone knows why this comes up F: SONY DVD RW DW-U12A : Queue again later? Thanks alot Heres a log of the latest time I tried.

I'm not to sure on the 'queue again later' - my Pioneer burner shows the same thing in the logs but no burn failures. So I don't think this showing is causing your problem.
The problem is more your drive is probably on the way out - the last support was over 2 years ago and it has a max burn speed of 4x.
Time to get a new one that will support all the new media. Much cheaper now. Probably cost less then all the coasters you've had.
You've tried 8x Verbs and now 16x media made by CMC - another good brand may fail as well.
You can always put this drive in another pc and see if it works in that one. If it doesn't then definitely the drive.

Good ones would be: LiteOn, Plextor, NEC or Pioneer.
If you're in the US check out newegg.com - they have good deals on drives. All but the Plextor will run approx $30-35.
