i tried to use tmpgenc to encode my movie but it says it can;t open it. (downloaded from internet) nero works but the video is bad, blocks in and out like bad storm is coming. any help or suggestions? thanks

you probably dont have the right codec for the movie. most of the time...it is either using the tmd codec. I have had almost no luck finding a working codec for these movies, but I know they are out there...

Get GSpot or AVICodec, each program will tell you what codecs are needed to play the files!

Load your video into AVICodec and at the bottom of the window in the line labeled Video it will tell whether it is supported by the codecs you have or if it is not supported.

If it is not supported just simply click on the web button out to the right and it will take you directly to the website where you can download the codec needed to support your video.

thanks, i will try that. will post results. also while i am here i downloaded the ntci maker 6.0 plat. from here and when i try to start the program it says source load failed, any thoughts?
