I had this problem and it was the RAM. You can test you RAM using this program here: http://www.memtest86.com/

i used test my hardware and when i clicked on motherboard it was ok, but when i did RAM it says: "2579922944 is not a valid integer value"
and then the program crashes, everyting else works ok.

so im thinking it's still the ram.

ok, i got new ram (Again) this time i got a kit of 2x512mb running at 533mhz. i installed them both and then scanned for errors, There were NONE!! yay!
test my harware still said the same thing though...

so then i went into cpu-z and it said that the memory is only running at 250mhz or so, isn't my memory supposed to be running at 533 or there abouts? how do i get it to run at the correct speed?

With one of the motherboard programs that you have on the computer when you installed the motherboard drivers and software. You should have got a program for increasing the cpu speed. What motherboard programs are you using??

Edit

The other thing that comes to my mind is what is the file system format your system is running on is it, FAT32 or NTFS???

i am using ntfs file format, also i have easy tune which came with the motherboard, but i am worried about the ram over heating??

i read somwhere that cpu-z displays the speed of the single module and you just have to doulbe it if you are using a dual configuration.
