I get this error message when I go into burn mode. Any ideas? I am using DVD Shrink with AnyDVD 6.0.9.9 running in background.

Thanks

i see one thing you don't have much memory left, also there are quite a few threads on this movie, if you use the search button you will find what other people have done to backup this disk, good luck

Hello.

First, edit out your serial number beginning 1A... from your post. Click the paper/pencil icon in the upper right of your post to enter edit mode.

There's a newer version of your burner fimware, version 2.0e, available here:

ftp://ftp.vaio.sony.co.jp/pub/vaio/download/SP-006774-03/SOFOPD-00677403-UN.exe

Did you create a folder of DVD video files with DVD Shrink or are you autoburning directly from Shrink with Nero? If autoburning, you might try outputing an ISO image file from Shrink and then burning that with ImgBurn.

You might want to update to Nero 6.6.0.18. Uninstall the current version, run the Nero 6 Clean Tool, and then uinstall both 6.6.0.18 packages linked below. Be sure you have your serial number written down before uninstalling.

http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/enu/Nero_6_CleanTool.html

Package 1: http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Ner....0.18_no_yt.exe
Package 2: http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe

The DMA is off on your DVD-ROM drive. This may be due to a communication error occurring on that bus. Reset the DMA as follows:

Right click on My Computer and select Properties.
Click the Hardware tab and then the Device Manager button.
Click the "+" symbol beside IDE/ATA ATAPI controllers.
Right click on Secondary IDE Channel and select Uninstall.
Restart your system.

Here's a guide you can use as well:

The Roxio CDRAL driver you have installed can cause problems in some configurations. If you continue to have problems after addressing the other issues, you might consider uninstalling any Roxio software you have installed and then running the Roxio Zapper to remove the driver.

Let us know how you make out.

Thanks for the info. I will try these attacks when I return home. Thanks for the edits, I use to consider myself tech savie, but that was back in the day of my Commodore 64.

Thanks again

I will try and post an update tomorrow.
