Hey guys, let me first say... excellent forum. Thank you.

I am getting this error message... that says:

"Please insert an empty disc to write to...
note: you will not have to transcode again bla bla bla..."

This happens after i spent 2 hrs transcoding this movie :(

There is no light on the front of my Sony DRX-82OU dual layer DVD burner.

Anybody know what I can do?
I got it for christmas and I really want to use it!

For now, you might burn the project to the hard drive so you don't have to go through the transcoding again.

I assume you have a disc in the burner, but is it the right kind?

Check to see if you have a NeroHistory log you could post and make sure and take out your serial numbers.

You would think if you were being offered the option to burn a DVD, that the computer could see your burner, but if no light comes on, there may be something else happening.

I got it goin!

I had to update the firmware, and drivers. Then restart.
It is currently burning now... hopefully it works.

Hey guys I don't mean to bump, but i installed Nero 7 when it first came out and had all kinds of trouble with it, so I went back to Nero 6. Have they finally worked out the kinks with Nero 7 so I can upgrade ?
