Download iTunes and install it on your computer. Find all your music files and drag all the files you want added to your iPod into iTunes. Then all you should have to do is update your iPod and it'll all go onto it.

Under The Sources Box? I don't know what you mean. When you open iTunes you'll see the side of it shows all the types of files you can add to the iTunes. Select the section of the file you wanna add to the iPod and drag the file into it. Then just connect the iPod and give it a second while it's updating.

After you connect the iPod then it should update automatically unless you changed it to do otherwise.

After the files you want on your iPod are in iTunes than all you have to do is connect your iPod to the computer with the USB cord and it will update it.
Sorry, If I am not understanding you right lol.

well i have done that and it says "do not disconnect" and then when it finally stops and doesn't say that any more it only charges the battery, it won't put any new songs on there. and when i highlight the file i want on there and i go to file, "update profile" is not available.
you said something about maybe i could have changed it somehow? how do i unchange it.
well i know its possible to put songs on there because i already have some, but i don't know how i go them on there

Just one last guess here.
Did you happen to select "Only Sync Checked Items" under summary at the top of iTunes when your iPod is connected? If so make sure your files you want on there are checked. If not, I am lost lol
Sorry I can't help out

When you connect your iPod iTunes should open and at the top of the screen you'll see a rab that says Summary. Under Summary theres check boxes at the bottom. It should be there.

It doesn't mean charging. It could mean it is updating something. Look on iTunes wheres it shows the name of the currently playing songs. It should say something if it is updating. If not, just click the Eject button on the side of iTunes uner Devices and you should be good to disconnect it.

also when it says do not disconnect on the ipod i can see a cirlce in the far top left hand corner, it looks like a sun and it looks like its twisting, could that mean its downloading?
