hey i got alot of dvd's and im letting my brother and his friends borrow some. but i dont want to let them borrow the original ones. im triyng to make copies of them. does anyone know how to make them with free software?

There are many different ways to make a backup copy of your own DVD's. My preferred choice involves two programs: DVD43 and IFOEdit. You turn DVD43 on and this disables most DVD content protection software. Then you insert your DVD and go to the DVD drive on windows, and literally copy and paste the DVD files onto your harddrive. Next, you open the DVD files on IFOEdit and click "Region Free."

You now have a completely sound backup of your DVD on your computer.

You did not say what dvd they are...
