Does it hurt the DVD to take off the encryption?

Does it effect the DVD to use these newer ripping programs? The older DVD XCOPY did not effect them at all...

This may be a stupid question but I do not want to do anything wrong and ruin my original DVD.

Thanks for any help!

The other day I swear I heard one yelling (help me I'm melting) but I was burning more than a backup so oh well I guess it could have been my imagination. HeHe

Cute! I only asked because I had heard that sometimes the sound is bad on the org after it has been copied. Thanks for the info. I will keep an ear open.

just passing thru, something to bear in mind, the audio is not altered on the backup either, only video is compressed (if at all) on backups, the audio is always transferred 'as is'
