I just got a dvd player. It plays vcd's and svcd's. I have a couple movies and video clips I want to burn so I can watch it on my tv but I don't really know how to do it.
1. what format does the video have to be in so i can watch it on a dvd player?
2. does it have to be a speacial kind of blank cd?
3. can i put more then one video on a cd?
4. How do i get a vcd to be a svcd?
5. Do i need a speacial burner?
6. Is there anyway i can get the vcd's to play on a dvd player that doesn't play vcds?
7. how do i change the format of a video?
8. Are there dvd players that you can copy dvds onto vhs tapes?
9. Is the quality the same as when you watch it full screen on your computer or the original size?
10. is there blank cds that i can buy that have more then 700mb of space?
11. what is the difference between mpeg 1 and mpgeg 2,3, and 4?
12. Is there anything else you think i should know?

1. VCD or SVCD (or DVDs lol) which means they have to be in one of the following formats: 352x240@29.97, 352x240@23.976, 352x288@25, 480x480@29.97, 480x576@25
2. A regular CD media should be fine
3. Just drag and drop (u have to have space for it tho ;-P)
4. No... most DVD players are usually the other way around... cant play SVCDs but can play VCDs...

6. Probably not (you can try converting them to SVCD but odds are it wont work... 'sides most DVD players can play VCD)
7. Elaborate please. But just guessing I would imaging you are thinking of something like TMPGenc

10. Yeah they have CDRs with 800, 900 mbs
11. MPEG1 is VCD, MPEG2 is SVCD, MP3 is just MPEG2-Layer3 and I cant remember MPEG4
