That is pretty much all I really want to know, well, that and maybe how much more that'd cost me.

I'd still want to get a M3 DS Simply, since, as I read, can run clean dumps of DS games, but I'd also still like to play GBA games, but it's mostly secondary.

Just use a GBA emulator for the NDS. I have heard people discussing developing one but I do not know if one exists. That would just mean that you would launch another program under the system's software that is specifically tailored to the DS Simply's software, enabling the playing of .gba's. Best of all, this could be a free solution and you could store all your games under the same Micro Sd card. Hope this presents a possibility.

Happiness is not having the things you want, its wanting the things you have.

If you have a DS Lite, you can get the M3 Lite. Not sure about the old DS.

GBA emulator for the DS lite!???????? strange and interesting. If u really want to play gba games on the ds the M3 has the best compabibity for GBA. You could get a M3 lite but that runs NDS games also. If u have the older ds u could use that also some online stores include a gba case. There are also other gba size cart.

I ordered my M3 DS Simply, but I did not know I had to use an GBA emulator to play GBA games. I was under the impression that you just put the GBA game in the micro SD card and the M# would play the game. I'm I wrong? How many games can you get on a 1G card?

I nevber heard bout gba emulator for ds so i wouldnt know. But so far without softwares the slot 1 devices caaant p-lay gba games but can play nds games. A 1gb memory card can hold bout 4-8 NDS games cause the files are big but there are so many sizes it kinda depends.

You need another adapter in slot 2 such as M3 miniSD, m3 microSD, supercard, etc, with a memory card in it as well. M3 miniSD I believe is around $60 or so, you could get away with a 1gb card to hold all the GBA roms you could ever want for around $10 or less... If you have a DS lite you can get the M3 microSD which fits flush in slot 2, and add a few bucks to buy the microSD media (1gb = $20). I'm not sure if the M3 DS Simple will allow booting of such a slot 2 device, but worst case you pop it out when you want to play GBA games and boot directly to the slot 2 device (this definitely works for booting to GBA mode).

Those who are talking about a GBA emulator running on a DS, it doesn't exist yet. It may be feasible but I am skeptical and don't see it ever happening-- Nintendo would have likely built it in themselves instead of including the (or partial of the) GBA chips/hardware.

No u will not need a passme or any other device to play GBA roms. WHat do u plan on playing through GBA rom. Playing alot of different roms randomally. Playing a rom until u beat it and then play another one. Playing it on GBA or DS or DS lite? and also do u already have another slot 1 device.

I want to buy a nintendo ds lite, however i want to be able to play some of my old games. I have been reading for ages about Slot 1 and 2 and i wasn't quite clear if you needed the PASSME for slot 2. Correctly if i am wrong, but until now i haven't found a device that would play gba at the same time that being connected at slot 1. I'm in a low budget so i was looking my option, what's best before i buy!!
