can any gimme a good (free)program to download im using "convertxtodvd" but its only a trial and leaves a watermark when i burn downloaded films to dvd! your help would be very welcome

You can try VSO's free one DivXtoDVD or Avi2DVD.

Haven't used them in awhile myself since I use Nero Vision but both are free.

Hey Binkie & HAPPY NEW YEAR !

which one do you like to use the most Nero vision or ConvertXtoDVD? because i got a AVI thats in mpeg4 how do i get the best picture during coverting it.Or is it possible to convert the blank DVD-R to a mpeg4 because i notice most programs down scale it to mpeg2.

Happy New Year!

I prefer Vision - has more options like for menus and stuff than ConvertX. Dabbled some with that but went back to using Vision.

If you have a player that will play mpeg4 you can use Recode Digital.
It will also handle avi's & that would probably be the best at keeping the quality.

Not a problem DamonDash :)

It's much easier than vision (not like vision is hard) - there are 2 options for Recode Digital in Recode. It's just like using Recode but it's faster than Vision.

I use it to convert movies and avi's to mpeg4 to put on an iPod.
Nero 7 Recode (later versions) has options to convert than transfer it to an iPod or PSP.
