Could I suggest/request that DVD XCopy be modified/enhanced so that it is possible to copy a home produced video movie on DVD without seeing "Back Up Copy" for archival purposes only, etc; and that the copy produced of non copy-protected DVDs should itself be copyable.

At present, non copy protected DVDs are treated as though they were copy protected.

Thanks.

There are plenty of free programs that can do what you ask, without all the dvdxcopy junk on the disc.

Actually, since the dvds are home made, they are small enough to fit on a dvd, so dvd decryptor is all you need. Make an iso image, then burn it.

Forget making images. Right click on the DVD Drive and select explore. Hghlight all files and copy them to a folder on your desktop called VIDEO_TS. Burn using nero

Why, is it better copying the files, than making an iso image?

V9 PS2, flip top, SMD, DVDLoader
Pioneer 107, ritek g05
DVD Shrink, DVD Decrypter, Nero

There is no need for images. Home DVD players will recognise the VIDEO_TS folder. Just seems like a waste of time creating an image, to me :-)

The reason i recommended making an iso image with dvd decryptor is that the program is free and that is the only program needed. Alabaster might not have Nero, which is "not" free.

I also find that it takes as long to rip using DVD Decrypter as it does to copy and paste.

Ignore what I said earlier about DVD2one; not needed in this instance.

I edit a lot of my old video footage and burn to DVD. If I need another copy I just pop in the DVD and select copy disk using Nero 6.

There is probably a faster way but it works fine for me.
