Hey:

When people on torrents and stuff advertise films as DVD rip and there about 700 meg, how do they do that??

how do you get the video files off a DVD and make them into an AVI and the file be that small?

I used removed, which works pretty good for me.

Take Spider Man for example, here's the setting to get DVD movies converted into a 700MB AVI file:
688kbps video bitrate
128kpbs audio bitrate
640x368
24fps
Crop mode 6
Cyberlink audio decoder 6
Cyberlink video decoder 6

The output file will be 700MB in size.
