i have trouble running games and the only problem left i could think of is because i have a dual processor, Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00GHz, a nvidia 6800xt, 120 gig harddrive not used up at all, 2 gigs of ram and Intel® Desktop Board D865PERL, some games run great like halo and some older good graphic games but the new ones dont, like 13 fps even some without that great of graphics and even when the graphics on low settings as possible

if i post i usually need help

cause theres a sound blaster card the fatality fps that in some cases it lowers ure frames per second

wow if its idle at 50c then thats bad cause under heavy load it could go beyond 70c and after 60c the proc starts to slow down

should i try

0. Open the game , but don't go any futher than the main menu screen.

1. Press Alt+Tab to minumize the game in the toolbar.

2. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to bring up the "task manager" window on your desktop.

3. Select the "processes" tab.

4. Scroll down the list and find the games .exe file (make sure you know which one it is) on the list. Then right click on it and select "set affinity"

5. Uncheck the 2nd CPU on the list.

6. Close all the windows and click on the game in your taskbar to bring it back up.

u could try that also do u have AA anti aliasing applied twice? meaning that u have it on max on the drivers and u also have it on the game? if so change it to auto on the drivers and 2x or 4x on games
