problems burning iso's to dvd -r discs??

urmm hi guys i am slightly confused i have a pirates of the carribean 2 iso file on mi hdd and i am trying to rip it to a blank mitsubishi black diamond DVD-R now i open up img burn to burn it and then it says this

anybody have any ideas on what is wrong? as i have quite a few usless dvd-r's unless i can write to them lol

also if it helps then i have a elonex exentia pc.

its full of blocks try AnyDVD or ripit4me you can't just copy a movie you must get past the blocks

yer i ripped it with DVD Decrypter with AnyDVD runnig in the background i then shrank it with DVD Shrink but i can't seem to burn it.

so what your saying is the blank disc is write protected and i have to run AnyDVD in the background is this correct?

if you used AnyDVD to rip it you don't need to use AnyDVD in the background to burn.

use CloneDVD 2 to transcode the file and burn to disc or Nero

if your getting the same error message try some better blank media like Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim burning no faster than 8x

ok i put it through clone dvd 2 and it still will not burn to a disc

i can watch it on the computer but i can't rip it to this DVD-R disc but i can with a dvd rw disc?

i dont get what the problem is?

joshjy, apparently your drive doesn't like the blank media your using try doing a firmware update. check here

ok thanks man but the problem is i dont know what make drive i have

i have a elonex exentia media p.c.

any ideas on what make disc drive i have?

Download DVD Decrypter open it up go to tools go to drive and go to check for firmware updates it will take your there download the firmware follow the directions
