I try to burn a movie ,after clicking burn the Roxio Classic burn set up window comes up. An error window (E:TTSTcorp cd/dvdw sh-s182) The device is reserved by another application. What is this telling me and why can't I burn the movie?

Hi.

Do you have any other burning software installed like Nero?

Is Roxio Drag to Disk installed?

Is the disk you're inserting a formatted RW disk?

Have you tried uninstalling the Roxio software, running the Roxio Zapper, and then reinstalling, excluding drag to disk?

You might also use Device Manager to reinstall your burner.

- Right click My Computer and select Properties.
- Click the Hardware tab and then the Device Manager button.
- Expand DVD/CD-ROM Drives
- Right click on the name of your burner and select Uninstall.
- Click OK
- Restart your system.

You might also set your system back to an earlier restore point and see if the problem resolves. If so, there is likely a rogue driver/application causing the problem.
