Hi all. I am having some issues with DVD burning and i am not sure where I am going wrong. To Back up DVDs, I rip them into my hard drive using DVD Decryptor. Then I use the Nero burning software v7 to burn a copy into DVD +R. No problems thus far. The problem comes when I play the disc in a player. Its not perfect, some scenes don't play, skipping occurs, some read errors etc. I can problably watch 95% of a movie. My DVD burner is a NEC DVD_RW ND-3550A ver 1.06. I can burn upto a max of 16X but never burn higher than 4X because I feel that increases the likely hood of read errors. Is it too much to expect perfect backups. I am sick and tired of producing coasters.

watch out for bad quality media, and don't burn to close to the edge, use only Verb or TY Or sony MIJ..
