I need help to buy a DivX player that will play AVI files with ogg. or mkv.
i have a RJ-1500DVX DivX player. It plays almost everything, but it doesn't support AVI files with ogg or mkv codecs (or containers, I don't know how to call that). It is time consuming to convert all my AVI (with ogg and mkv) to XviD.
I don't know why they don't make a player that we can update its codecs.

since I haven't tried to play all those file types I can tell you my toshiba sd4990 did a good job but I also own the latest phillips ultra certified player don't remember the model number but its awesome love it love them both but the phillips has never paused or skipped and sometimes the toshiba did.
