The media is both Transonic DVD-R's and unbranded discs (well, re-labeled discs from a local store...). Both give the same error message, older media works fine and I can't find any newer firmware for my drive via the LiteOn website.
Both discs work on my newest Acer laptop (5600 series) DVD-RW drive so i guess firmware or DMA mode is the problem?
Help would be greatly appreciated, otherwise having 100 dvd-r's that only work on my 2x DVD-RW on my laptop will be painful :(
Cheers
