It happened today when I turned the pc on, it doesn't beep and there is no video from the monitor at all. I took all the parts out including the ram and still nothings happening. I even took out the video card and tried using the on board option. Does anyone know what's wrong?

I'll take this down WHEN micro$oft decides to stop being lazy and make the capcom fighting games backwards compatible with the 360 dammit!!!

did you change anything (add new, removed old hardware) to the PC since the last time you shut it down?

last time i had a PC power-on but do pretty much nothing else (the same conditions as you are describing) it was the result of BIOS fault.

Yeah, I was taking out the sound card because the pc wasn't detecting it. When I tried to turn it back on nothing happened. Although when I tried to power it on again I saw smoke coming from the power supply so that might be what the problem is, but other people are saying that it could be the cpu also

if smoke is seen coming out of psu than most likely that is your problem
