what format does a video have to be for Nero to burn a file. i have a file that is wmv and Nero does not reconize it?

you need to convert that wmv file to mpeg2 before Nero will reconize it as being in the dvd format.Once burnt it will play in your standalone dvd player

Nero Vission Express will load your WMV file..... you are using the wrong Nero program!
