i use DVD Shrink and once it got thought the movie and when I put in my dvd to record I get this message saying

I/O error

device [1:0:0] lite on dvdrw shhw-1633s bsoy (d:) (ata)

scsistatus 0x02
interpretation check condition

cdb: 2a 00 00 00 03 00 00 00 20 00
interpertation write (10) - sectors: 768-799

sebse area: 70 00 02 00 00 00 00 0a 00 00 00 00 30 05 00 00 00 00
interpretation: canot write medium- incampatible format

when you say media are you referring too, I'm using office Depot dvd and I use DVD Shrink and I believe i'm burning at a 4X. It will burn to a disk and once I put it on a disk it says it burn and once i put in into my dvd player it say error and it won't play I can't even play it back on my computer but I can see the movie when it's recording onto a disk from shrink

Oh by media I meant the brand of discs.
Office Depot uses different manufacturers - some not good so that could be the problem - esp if the burner doesn't recognize it again.
It also the reason you'll get the i/o - check condition error w/ decrypter.

Switch the media - use Verbatim or made in Japan only Sony, Fuji or Maxell. Better quality and compatibility w/ burners and players.
