If you're using a router that isn't port fotwarded and if you need a static ip address, your speed will suffer. Also, if your ISP is blocking torrents or if the seed to peer ratio is low. Meanwhile, go to options>preferences>connection and set a port over 10,000 (I use 34,350 so I know it works) and disable UPnp port mapping. At options>preferences>Bittorrent, disable both DHT references, set to enable protocol encryption and tick allow incoming legacy connections.

Guys, don't forget to mention that after you forwarded your port, you need PeerGuardian 2.

that helped a lot, my speeds went from (if lucky) 20kb-200-350, so i thank-you. one more 'challenge' i'm having is, i am now using a router, and you said something about it needs to be 'port forwarded' and speeds will suffer... how do i port forward? and how much will speeds suffer thanks again.

and can u guys let me know of any good toreent seach engines?
i use onlydvdrips, its pretty good but not a lot on it yet.
thanks

To port forward, find your router here and click on it, in the next window, find your program, click on it and follow the directions: http://portforward.com/english/routers/p...routerindex.htm Try btjunkie.
