Hey jo-sepp,

don't worry about your english, we still know what you mean.
about your problem, when does it flicker, before you re-mux them and play them without any sound, or after...
because I've had the same problem with virtuosity. and guess what, in ifoedit there's a checkbox when you try to remux them that says "Rebuild PTS (needed for CCE/TMpegEnc etc)". and even though most sites say that you're not supposed to use it, I did and it worked for me.
maybe this will fix your problem

let me know if it worked or not ok.

Do you need to remux the disc ?
Did you try stripping down to just the movie and maintaining the quality ?
I always try the option of just trying the whole movie on own first and use remuxing as a last resort, afterall when you remux are you not just dropping the quality of the picture ?

hi, thanx for the fast replying.

my m2v file flickers before i remux them, now i would try the "Rebuild PTS (needed for CCE/TMpegEnc etc)" checkbox and hope it would works.

the way of resizing is the last thing i do, first i use ifoedit to cut all the menu and audio options also the undertitel options, but when after this the movie is 5 GB large, then i use the ReMpeg2 to resize them - and it works by a lot of movies perfectly - i see no quality difference.

now i am looking for a alternativ software to ReMpeg2 (sometimes it takes 24 hours to resize a movie) maybe someone know a faster software for resizing?

Hey Jo-Sepp,

24 hours !? You must have a lot patience...
Hmmm, what kind of processor do you have? It takes me about 6 hours for a dual pass.
And if you want to use something else, you could try TMpegEnc. That works for most people just fine, maybe even better (but not for me, because my Windows sucks).
Another thing you might tryout, and I'm still trying too figure out what I'm doing wrong, is chopping your last vob in 2 parts. Deleting your end credits. That saves some space too. But somehow my subtitles seem to change colour and become unreadable.
Try it out and share your experience..

Hi there. I hope my reply is still relevant. I just started with the whole DVD thing but I think I could have a possible answer for the ReMPEG2 problem.
Are you transcoding the PAL versions or NTSC versions. If it is are PAL versions than you're problem is probably the start-logo on the DVD. Let's take Training Day as an example. If you rip/strip the movie and then transcode it, the logo play's out nice but the rest really sucks (although every 15frames you get 1 perfect one). Now you have 2 options. 1) you use vobrator/IfoEdit to strip out the VOB-id containing the WB start logo (my prefered option). 2) You use IfoEdit and change the NTSC setting in the ifo-files to PAL.
That's it!
Hope this helps
