Make sure it is NOT a satellite one as they cut off the frequencies. I got one from Maplins.

Yes & yes.
I don't have a splitter connected to my connection and only have my dbox on my connection. However, I do have two other Telwest boxes in the house on other connections. Do I need to do anything else to avoid unnecessary enquiries? I should add that I have everything but Movies on TW bpxes

Nah , if you are paying for your cable subscription then its unlikely the cable company will trigger any bells, i know that they are cutting off people who dont pay for it at the moment . But still have a live connection, so overall your best paying for it but remember remove the boxes if any the cable guys appear
