Update to nero 7 deleted everything

Had not updated 7. just downloaded all updates...said, it needed to remove and then update...well, it removed ALL remnants of 7 but no update.....Aggghhh. As rebooting got box saying could not find some SETUP.exe...

now I have NO Nero at all on the disc anywhere. Can not find any download file etc.

Where is it and can I get Nero to respond with my serial number. All my original discs are in storage 100 miles from where I live now.

Ideas what went on...and whoever designed an update system that deletes all files FIRST is an a**hat.

You don't need any of the original files to update. Just run the setup.exe. That contains all the needed files.
If you don't have it, download it from Nero.

Your serial number is stored in your registry and is not deleted during updates:
