I have a new emachine pc, It originally came with a dual dvd burner and i did not move the position of the ribbon in the back of it. I installed my other NEC 3550A burner and now only my NEC burner shows up in device manager. I plugged the slave part of the ribbon into it. It's the shunts i do believe that need to be changed. Anyone have any idea where they need to be moved to in what posistion or which ones just need to be taken out so that both burners are recognized?

The user manual would come in handy and there is always a little guide or sticker on the drive. You got Master,Slave, and CS (cable select)
