"Cannot play" error message

I use DVDxCopy or DVDxCopy Express to copy a dvd I own (Gigi) with my Sony DRU500a (firmware 20f). Using +R or -R media, they copy without error and play back using Power DVD with no problem. However, when I try to play them in my Sony CX975P, I always get the "Cannot play this disc" error message displayed on the TV.
Dozens of other DVDs that I own copied and played without a problem.
I am running XP Pro with SP1 and numerous updates.

I've used Memorex +R and -R, Ritek -R, Verbatim +R and -R.

Your media seems fine. Im not too familiar with DVD X Copy, etc, does it allow you to burn frmo its own interface? If not, what are you using to burn it?
