Hi all,

I have a heap of old pentium 2, 3 and 4's and i was thinking instead of throwing them away is there a way or a software program where you could link them all together to create a mini super computer. In other words utilise the CPU's of all of the machines to make one really fast unit?

Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance.

I dont see anyway you could so it, unless you some how found a server mobo with more than 1 cpu slot. Also, I dont think it's possible to link p2s with p3s and p4s. I would suggest a quantam core or duel core processor.

if you have 2 p3s that are the same you can get mobos that will take 2 of these and run them as a dual core set up.

i havent seen any for p2/p4 tho.

how hard they would be to get hold of i dont know.

You could get a server mainboard but.. it only takes one type of cpu so only pentium4's
