Hey all,

Has anyone used any of those stickers you can affix to a dvd-r? Just wanted to see how close to the original i can make my backups look. Or should I buy the printable and use some kind of stamping tool?

As it appears that thread is now closed I just thought I'd say that I don't have any problems at all with putting labels on my discs and they definitely do not cause problems on playback with my player. I do use a presser which makes sure the label is centred correctly on the disc. I use Neato labels and print using an Epson C62. I also download all my DVD movie labels and covers from here if anyone's interested: http://www.cdcovers.cc/dvd_0.php

Good advice from Oriphus they tend to not stick first time u end up ripping them off an the data with it lol.

If you really want labels and you hav a bit of cash buy a printer that will print directly onto the cds/dvds this mite seem pricey but in the long run its worth it.

BTW got my picture workin yey

£80 will get you a Thermal printer that prints one colour at a time. Its great for labelling in my opinion.

Scarface is in my top ten of DVD collectables...

I have it within my library ;-)

As for stickers , I dont do them...at all. If I was gonna go for a more professional look to my back ups (which I personally do not see the point in) I'd go for printable discs & a good disc printer. Stickers are tacky !! .If you'll forgive the pun ?
