Hi, I'm trying to burn a data DVD. At least, I think that's what I'm trying to do.. some vidoe files on a dvd, that all (as data, not as video, if that makes any sense..)
And it's not working out - I've tries many times, and each time it goes through the process of burning, but i'm afraid it's just predenting, because in the end the dvd is empty.
What am I doing wrong?
Might it have something to do with the fact that dor some reason I don't have the "meultisession cd" tab. It just doesn't exist. skips right on to the ISO tab.

Anyway, I'd be gratefull to anyone who might help!
Thanks,
Hadas.

Hi hats
Few questions for you to try and sort this out.

What type of video files are you trying to burn as data? Like avi's, files ripped from an original dvd.

If it's files ripped from a dvd you'll need to use the dvd-video option to have a playable dvd. If it's avi's your player will need to support the divx/avi format - otherwise you'll need to convert them w/ Nero Vision to have a dvd compliant disc.

When you say the dvd is empty is that what it shows in the pc? Or a dvd player?

Thanks for replying binkie

The video files are AVI, and how do I support the format?

After it "burns" the compilation, the computer still treats it as an empty dvd, with no content.

Ok the pc should play back the files you burned - shouldn't have a problem w/ an AVI burned as a data dvd.

So let's take a peek at the Nero log and see what's up.
Look here for them - just need the last one:
Nero 6 - program files>ahead>nero>nerohistory
Nero 7 - program files>nero>nero 7>core>nerohistory

Edit out the serial # too- begins w/ 1A, 1C or 5C.

So I got to the Core folder and there's nothing there but a bunch of files that end with dll, a list describing possible errors, and some other crap. No history.

And.. what serial # should I edit out?

Look for a text file named nerohistory. The logs will be in there.

Nero stores the last 10 burn logs automatically there.

Might want to try a search too for nerohistory.
