My pc doesn't start sometimes and when it does I get an error talking about wrong date input. I thought it was the cmos battery, but I changed it and I still get the message. any ideas?

Did you go into the BIOS and set the clock to the right date? When I clear the CMOS, it sets the date back to Jan. 1, 2000.

Funny you should mention that. An hour ago, I was working on my backup computer, and it restarted, and I got an BIOS checksum error, and it starting looking for drives that held the BIOS recovery. The computer went dead, after that.

I guess the answer is, the BIOS can go bad on you, but I am not sure, in your case.
