Hi everyone,

I have the above listed Maxtor hard drive (IDE/ATA) and twice had to reboot after hearing a very audible clicking noise. At first I didn't know what it was, so I rebooted and it worked for a couple of days.Then if froze again and could here that intermittent clicking again. Now, it tries to boot up and makes it to the selecting of which O/S version I want, and sometimes even boots to the desktop, but freezes before it loads the icons. Now, it won't boot up that far. What is the error code: Y2LS57? That came from a disk from BootDoctor and it ran the Maxtor Diagnostics program with that error. Please help. If it is totally crashed, how can I get my data from it?
